Justin Kovac was born in 1986 on Grosse Ile, Michigan. Like most aspiring game artists, he played video games as long as he could remember. In 2000 he received his first computer, knowing nothing about them beforehand. Within months Justin got dirty with the Half-Life level editor WorldCraft, and all went downhill from there. Hours upon hours of constant gaming and development have been driven into this man, with only eagerness to continue.

In May of 2005, Justin graduated from Grosse Ile High school, and immediately wanted to jump into the industry. Thankfully, Justin received an email from Tim Aste of Garage Games informing him of an upcoming wave of internships being available. After succeeding in an art test, he was asked to temporarily relocate to Eugene, Oregon to pursue in his first industry experience as an intern at Garage Games. Luckily, this was just in time for the Independant Games Conference hosted by them. While it was a short-lived intern ship of 3 months, Justin was able to gather overwhelming amounts of knowledge while working on the recently shipped Marble Blast Ultra, as well as a few projects still underway.

To word it as simply as possible: I love video games. From development to hours of testing and fragging, video games really are my true passion and always have been. I know how hard it can be to make it into this industry, and I will only keep working harder to improve my skills to succeed. There is nothing short of making games that I can even imagine partaking in. When given my first real opportunity to make a true living in game development, I will push myself harder than ever to establish a reputation and further progress in skill. Wish me luck!
